endometriosis question

Those that have this did you find your period to be less painful after surgery? I had the surgery two months ago and so far my first period was painful but not as bad, now leading up to the second one I feel like the same pain is coming back. Can endo grow back so fast? I was diagnosed with stage 4, it was all over my organs. I have an apt with my dr in Jan to discuss options but any advice you girls have would be great. thanks!

Re: endometriosis question

Hmmm the surgery should improve the pain drastically. I have stage 4 endo and after my surgery, my life was completely different. I do have some periods that are painful but not to the extent of excruciating, debilitating pain that it was. See what they say at the consult. Did the Dr put you on any kind of BCPs or suppressants? Endo can always come back. Not immediately but it can for again so it's important to stay on BCPs after the surgery and only get off when you are pregnant or not TTC. My Dr had me on them for a few months before allowing me to TTC. Maybe your body is still healing?

I think I am still healing too, I have an apt to discuss hormone therapy. I really dont want to go on BCP :( I think I am just paranoid over any little pain...

Re: endometriosis question

The problem with endo is that it will always come back. Hormone therapy and pregnancy (natural hormones) are the only thing to keep it at bay so the nodules don't return. I have also been following low dairy and going gluten free. These things keep your inflammatory levels low to none so Google it and research. I was also on fish oil, Pycnogenol and Ubiquanol in addition to my normal multi so look those up too. The key with endo is keeping your inflammatory levels low bc we naturally have higher levels than other people.
