Nt scan question
My care provider doesn't do it at her office,but sends you out to a local radiological facility. Once you have the prescription how long does it usually take to an appointment for the scan ?

So I just spoke with my midwife and she said you can usually schduele within a couple of days and if they give you a hard time they call and pressure you into getting them an appointment.

NT scan has to be done during 11-13 weeks of pregnancy so they'll have to fit you in. Just call to schedule it as soon as you get the rx - usually at your 8 week appt.

Nt scan question
Where are they sending you? I called the minute I had the script and they made sure to get me in during the correct week.
I went back in for the results about a week later. There is a blood test involved so its not immediate.

Usually the OB will do all the bloodwork and the NT scan will just be an ultrasound. I had an appt with my OB the following week to go over results.

You'll give them your due date when you call to make the appointment and they'll schedule you within the appropriate time frame. I had a fingerprick blood test done along with the ultrasound. The tech did not offer any news. I was given the option to meet with a genetic counselor one week after the NT scan or just have the results forwarded to my OB. My OB went over the results with me at my next appointment.
