I belong to a local fb page for the breed we have. And someone posted a link to a craigslist ad where the person was saying they had the puppy for 3 days and realized it was the wrong breed for them. I just don't get it. I never considered myself a dog person. Then we got a puppy in May and within days she owned by heart. I can't imageine life without her.

I posted on a fb group with this and I 100% agree. Of course people were like oh but you don't know my situation, wah, wah, wah. An animal is for life there is no other situation that I can understand. If you cannot keep the animal for a real reason then it is your responsibility to properly rehome the pet - not a pound, not put them to sleep, not throw them away, not chain them outside or in a cold or hot ass garage but to an actual home where they are properly taken care of. If a family member dies remember that animal was loved, is now depressed and confused and deserves to be properly rehomed.
