Touch up paint not matching
Any one experience this or have any tips?
Had rooms painted in July. Recently put new tile in mud trim which left marks on the wall. I'm kicking myself for not trying the magic eraser as not terrible.
Painter came for another room so had him touch it up and it dried lighter. I am 100% sure it's the same paint from original can used 7 months ago. Benjamin Moore light grey color
Now the light paint touch ups look worse than the mArks. ??

Probably wasn't mixed well enough if it was sitting.

Re: Touch up paint not matching
Many things can affect the end result of a paint touch-up. The paint finish (flat, eggshell, satin, etc) can cause issues as some finishes take to touch ups better than others, the temp of the paint and/or room you're painting can cause problems, the fact that the paint is a few months old, the method of application, etc.
You might be better off just repainting the wall uniformly with a fresh can of paint.

What kind of finish? Eggshell or semi gloss will look different if touched up, even if from same can.
