I used the lansinoh lanolin with my first. Second time around the hospital told me it can lead to clogged ducts and to just use a little expressed milk. I didn't have any pain either way and the expressed milk was definitely more convenient.

This. The lactation consultant at Stony Brook told me that breast milk works the best. She was right.
I've used coconut oil too.

This. I had this and many others. When I met with my LC she looked at all of them and told me lansinoh was the best.

I liked Lansinoh to use only when I was showering because it was so thick the water couldn't pelt my poor sore boobs.
Otherwise I used Earth Mama Angel Baby. Nice a smooth and not overly greasy
