Diapers/Wipes
I apologize for the silly question -- first time mom here! So my baby shower was this past weekend and in my wishing well, I got multiple packs of wipes and diapers -- diapers are Pampers Swaddlers and Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive and wipes are Pampers Sensitive and Huggies Sensitive Natural Care. I know that you should stick with one brand for as long as you can without switching to avoid a reaction on the baby's skin, but can I switch between Swaddlers Regular and Swaddlers Senstive diapers? The packs I got are the smaller packs (about 32 diapers) and I know I'm gonna fly through them pretty quickly. Thoughts?
Also, while on the topic -- do you have a preference between the Pampers and Huggies Sensitive wipes? Are they basically the same?

I've never heard of sticking to one brand of wipes or diapers. Sticking to one formula, yes.
As for stocking up on this stuff. I wouldn't. You don't know how your baby will react. I personal,y hated hubbies diapers and love pampers. As for wipes, pampers were always softer to me than huggies.
Everyone, and every baby, has different preferences and reactions.

Agree with above. I prefer Pampers over Huggies for diapers and wipes.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
You don't have to stick to the same brand for diapers & wipes. I used whatever brand was on sale & switched all the time & still do with no issue. I only use Pampers or Huggies if there's a great sale & I have a coupon but I haven't had a problem with either brand.

I agree with this. We kept all of the diaper/wipes supplies we received as gifts and then just returned unopened packages of what we didn't use. Personally we like pampers diapers and pampers sensitive wipes but I kept the packages of huggies wipes to use when my LO started eating table foods to clean his face and hands because that got very messy very quickly lol.

This. I have switched around so much over the last 4 months due to what we were given, no issues. I'm very lucky to have such an easy going kid, but I had never heard the one brand thing before... The only thing I can say is that there were brands of diapers that we preferred over others.... But we use what we've been given, no reason to spend $$ if we have have the stock. I wouldn't stock pile diapers because you have no idea how fast DC will grow out of them.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
I always switched diaper brands up until close to a year. when dd was an infant I liked pampers diapers but as she got bigger we like huggies the best. however I like pampers wipes best. the huggies wipes are very thick.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
I switched all the time in the beginning from what the hospital sent us home with, to random brands from my shower, until we finally settled on Luvs.
And wipes were whatever i was gifted or was on sale.
Never had an issue.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
We did sensitive and swaddlers and saw no difference so you can use both. The only ones that gave them a reaction were baby dry. We still use swaddlers now and probably will be til my kids finally decide to potty train when they go to kindergarten lol
We use BJs wipes but have used target and pampers when we had them.
Its formula you shouldn't change on baby.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
I personally would everything up that you received from your shower to figure out what works best with your baby. We had received both Huggies and Pampers. He leaked with Huggies and Pampers worked best. Personally between wipes I love huggies natural care. No perfume and work well. I feel like Pampers are slimy.
You'll figure it out when you DC arrives.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
I changed diapers all the time when my son was a baby. You are only going to be using one pack at a time. So if the baby has a reaction you will know not to use those. once used all the ones I got at my shower I picked my favorite and then that is what I stuck with.

Re: Diapers/Wipes
It doesn't matter if you switch between brands. I used every diaper and wipe I got at my shower, I never paid attention to the differences between them. Once they were done I stuck with Huggies Wipes (just because I LOVE them) and Target diapers (because they are awesome and cheap!!).
