Changing Seats on the School Bus.
DD is having issues with the girl she sits next to on the bus. She asked the aide to switch seats and the aide told her there are no open seats (they have assigned seats). Now i don't get her on the bus she takes it from a drop off center. Do i call the school or wait one day for the bus and talk to the aide? I let it go hoping it would resolve itself. I todl her to ignore her. All winter she wouldn't wear her hat when she left school becasue this girl kept pulling it off. I told DD to talk to her and explain it wasn't nice worked for awhile and now we are back to it again. I see her mom at the drop off center do i say something to her, not sure what the appropriate path is?
ETA: Hit post before i was done writing, sorry

Changing Seats on the School Bus.
I would wait one day for the bus and talk to the aide. I would not ask for her seat to be changed, I would insist on it. Regardless of the whether the bus is full or not, they can switch her seat with another child.
I would not approach the mom unless you know her personally. From my experience, parents get very weird and protective when they are told their child may have done something wrong.
If by the next day, her seat is not changed, I would call the school.

Re: Changing Seats on the School Bus.
In my kids school, any bus seat changes have to go through the assistant principal. She assigns every seat on every bus and any bullying incidents on the bus get reported to her directly so she can handle it. I would find out who is "in charge" of the busses in your school. The bus monitors or aides do not have much authority to change seats in my experiences
