Aquaphor?
I was looking at the ingredients today and saw that one of the inactive ingredients was lanolin alcohol. This surprised me since so many products that come into contact with a baby's skin are purposely made alcohol free. Has anyone had a problem using this? Trying to decide between using Aquaphor and A&D ointment for diaper changes!

Aquaphor?
We don't use it for diaper cream but we use it for dry skin. No issues.
I hate the smell of A&D. So medicinal. We only use cream if she looks red and when we do, we use Triple Paste which works really well.
ETA: Sometimes I'll put some coconut oil on her if I remember.

I use A&D for diaper changes, aquaphor for dry skin.
ETA - we also use triple paste for very bad diaper rash.

Aquaphor?
I personally use organic diaper cream or coconut oil, a&d never worked... dd had only had 1 major rash in 2 years
Edit: daycare has used aquaphor on her face when it is really dry.... clears it up nicely

Aquaphor?
I use aquaphor for dry skin and I use triple paste if dd has a rash. My dd pediatrician recommends only using diaper cream and body lotion as needed.

Re: Aquaphor?
I've used baby aquaphor (still do) on both kids for diaper changes and never had a problem. Older DD has never had a diaper rash (she's 3.5), younger DD came home from hospital with one (where we didn't have aquaphor lol) but we stopped using pampers swaddlers and it's starting to clear up with aquaphor/purple desitin. She's only 2 weeks old so we'll see how that goes.

Same here. I put on A&D at every change (I actually stock up on the BRU store brand when it's on sale), triple paste if they're red, and aquafor for dry skin or chapped lips.

Aquaphor?
I have never used anything unless there was a rash. In that case I used triple paste and it clear within one day. I wouldn't put anything unless you need it. She only had a diaper rash like 4 times in her life (she's 2 yrs old now)
Eta: I also read that if the butt is dry , there's no need to use wet wipes if they pee because the diaper absorbs the moisture, and keeping the area dry prevents rash.

Yeah I very rarely use wipes for just pee diapers. Maybe 1-2x a day or if needed bc I've heard the same.

Re: Aquaphor?
We didn't use anything unless there was redness. Then we used butt paste or Vaseline or triple paste or balmex if bad. Now my one dd gets rashes when she poops unless we use desatin with powder at every change. We still use nothing unless red on our other DD. Some babies are more prone to rashes.

Aquaphor?
i only used Vaseline for diaper changes. butt paste or a&d if he had a diaper rash. I head if you use those too often they become immune for when they actually need it. baby aquaphor was only used for dry skin.

Just FYI...Aquaphor and Baby Aquaphor are the exact same product (they say on their website) but Baby version is usually more $$. So buy the regular one!!

Never had a problem using Aquaphor. I use it at night and Desitin only if he looks a little red. And yes don't buy Baby Aquaphor
