There is no happy medium with many. They either have a horrible day/week/month/year/life or everything is always so wonderful. Wonderful husband thst works 22 hours a day but comes home, remembers flowers, makes a gourmet meal and gives a massage in those 2 only free hours they have. Or their kids are on the honor roll, student of the month, yadda yadda.
NO one's lives can be that bad or that good.

Yep totally agree. I have one friend who's husband cooks her dinner once in a blue moon and she posts a pic with the # spoiled. Really? One dinner and you're a princess. My dh cooks all the time, he just does. It works for us but I don't post pics of it because who cares.

For right now I'll be relieved when the ELA/Common Core tests finish for the year.

I think the that really annoys me is posting vague statuses about people they hate, hoping it will get back to them or the person that plays Grandmother of the Year but I know what a POS she is in real life.

Omg common core/elsa testing is a nightmare on my wall right now. One mom is a bully who wants Everyone to opt out no matter what (she is a teacher). The other moms so. Just took the first test and she wAs attacked on her own wall for choosing to do something for her son. So ridiculous

Direct sales in every single facebook group whether it's a parenting group or a bst group. Theyre taking over.

ETA: it's not the general ones. More so the ones that have those really fake sales pitches- "what if I could to tell you that if you buy ABC then XYZ will happen? Is that something you would be interested in"?

No. Just no.

I hate them all. I hate feeling like people only interact with me because they want to make money off of me, and EVERYONE is doing it now. If I get added into one more mascara group...

I just feel like- if this stuff is so good, why can't we buy it in stores you know?

Because then it wouldn't be a pyramid scheme!

The health issues. I don't need to or want to hear about your colonoscopy prep or the tumor you had removed, thankyouverymuch.

Can't speak for other brands, but for Rodan + Fields, it used to be in all the top department stores. It was the number one brand in Nordstroms until the doctors took it out of retail. They removed it because every customer coming to the counter was a referral so they wanted to give people like me (and btw, before being a vendor here, have been a frequent poster for 10+ years- pray4baby2010), an opportunity to make money for their family instead of making retailers richer... And it worked, we are the #4 skincare brand in the country.

So there you go lol

The ones who constantly post how being a SAHM is the HARDEST job in the world! Oh EM GEE! If its so hard, why are you posting about it ALL DAY ON FB? How do you have the time? Chat Icon

I can go on & on. For real.I have a love/hate relationship with fb. Love that I have friends on there (Quite a few from LIW, actually), that I genuinely love reading posts and seeing pics of their children. But then there is the constant complainers, show offs, the douchebags, the ones that post 345678564238 selfies a day. I screenshot my husband daily of shiit I see and literally shake my head Chat Icon in disbelief of how pathetic & ridiculous they sound.

or the ones that have to post a pic of their kids or themselves, every.single.friggin.day.

You can't even get surprised anymore how much someone's kids have grown as you have to see them everyday on fb. lol.

I have a friend that will write stuff like "karma is going to get you". Usually its her complaining about her ex bf so I don't even bother commenting bc I don't want to hear about it.

Re: Chronic complainers on FB

Someone on LIF said it the best, Facebook is the downfall of society. I hate the braggers/show offs, constant complainers, the unnecessary taggers, the hashtags, the people who take it too seriously ...the list goes on.

I used to have a couple that would every day post their love for one another, take pics of every meal, and every little fart that flies, every new gadget they get, all 90 of their animals and kids. I get it, I love my DH too, but not all of FB needs to know about it. I don't need a status of every time your kid is sick, in the er, etc... tend to your kid and get off FB. The worst is when they post pics of said sick kid.

What I like about FB is I get to stay in touch with my family and most of my friends since I don't live near any of them anymore. I pick up the phone too lol, just sometimes it's easier this way.

omg absolutely hate solicitation on fb. It really drives me up the wall. If you want your business on there make a separate page for it so people who want to can follow it. I hate when people use their personal account to constantly push their business. Those pushy sales tactics don't work on me; they just get me more annoyed!!!

Re: Chronic complainers on FB

I stayed off fb for 3 weeks because I couldn't stand seeing some of my friends/family whinnying day in and day out.
If you're going to complain how awful life is and how you know it will get better but don't want to explain what is wrong, than don't post!!!!

One other thing that drives me crazy is shakeology/21 day fix, beach body people. I swear they are in a cult. We get it you're on a diet, you work out, you drinks shakes. Why on earth do you have to post it everyday.

OMG those Younique eyelashes are ridiculous! I can't stand it! Do these people not realize they look like they have tarantulas attacking their faces?

I have 2 friends that annoy the crap out of me. One is a teacher. Her Debbie Downer posts only consist of this:
"Ugh Monday. 4 more alarm clocks"
"TGIF but sad for Monday in 2 days but then only 10 alarm clocks until vacation"
"Ugh Happy hump day but only 2 alarm clocks left people!"
"Yay vacation! Off to ___ but it sucks I have to pack"
"Ugh I hate having vacation because it makes going back so hard. Only 56 alarm clocks until summer vacation"
"Summer vacation is here and now I have a sinus infection. boo"
"half was through summer and my sinus infection is still here."
"Summer is over, I still have a sinus infection and now I have to start with my alarms clocks. Ugh"

Then I have another friend who is queen of the making lemonade of lemons and wants everyone to know about it. Every day. We get it. You think your awesome.

People who over post their kids. Joey eating pancakes, Joey waiting at the bus stop, Joey at soccer practice, Joey being the 5th from the left at the birthday party table, Joey taking a bath...enough. Nobody cares except maybe your mom.

I get that and I have friends who both don't work and all they do is take pics of their kid all day long.
I get that your life is hanging out with your kid, really and I love my kids too but not everyone wants to see every move your kid makes just as much as you wouldn't want to see every move I make during the day.
If you want the grandparents to see pics of the kids, great, sent it to them.
I have a friend who literally posted 40 pics in one day of her family visiting family. Pics of "relaxing" with their feet up. Ummm..ok. Why? That was ONE day out of the 3 they were there.

You should respond to every post with "Wonk wonk!"

LOL

I see a lot of miserable people on FB. I just scroll past them. I get once in a while, but complain all the time. Chat Icon
Then there are those that are always posting their political views or they are always sharing some controversial post just to start drama. Then he admits he never reads them.
WORST - the graphic posts. There are just some things I DON'T want to see. There should be a warning. One person loves Walking Dead, but her FB pic will be of a severed head or show nasty pics of other stuff.

Re: Chronic complainers on FB

My kids are six, and I've realized, people don't think they are that cute anymore, so rarely post pictures. First day of School, learning a new skill..maybe 1-2X a year. My husband has some family members that are the QUEENS of everything posted here. Oversharing, Cryptic posts(last nights was about battered women) public family drama with tags, constantly removing people then adding them again. His cousins wife and I laugh all the time about their ridiculousness

I am sure they are cute but I have seen my friends baby every.single.day in the last 6 months he was born. Not really needed. If you have that much time on your hands, get a job or a hobby.

Guilty. I post pics at least once a week in albums of DD and will do the same with #2. I rarely post them to my wall but it will show up in newsfeeds. Oh well. Anyone who is friends with me who doesn't want to see my cute kid is more than welcome to hide me! I use facebook albums as an additional back up for my pictures and as a way to share pics with family.

I always post pictures of my kids on FB. I don't really care what other people think to be honest. It's social media, the point is to share stuff like that LOL. The beauty of FB is that you can hide people whose statuses annoy you. I have about 4 or 5 people hidden Chat Icon
