Tubal Ligation and complications?
Nope, but I'm only 7 1/2 month pp and I haven't had AF yet. From what I've read, many women have a much heavier AF afterwards.

Bad bleeding and cramping. It was over 5 years ago, and it was probably a few months afterwards but everything has been fine since then

Mine was 3 years ago and Im still having these problems amongst a few other problems. For me it was the worst decision ever and I'm sorry I let my dr talk me into instead of just using BC after DC3.

Tubal Ligation and complications?
Slightly heavier period than before, but it's only been 5 months. Honestly, I think it was the best decision for DH and I.

Re: Tubal Ligation and complications?
Like another poster, I totally regret my decision for the TL in Dec 2013.
Ovulation became extremely painful for me immediately after the surgery. My periods became exponentially heavy. TMI, but I go through a tampon & overnight pad every hour for the first 2 days. I hate having to leave the house.
This past December I ended up having to have emergency surgery to remove my left ovary and fallopian tube due to a tubo-ovarian abscess. It was a pretty bad infection that I think was brewing for quite a while (and I believe a result of the TL). I had to stay in the hospital on antibiotic IV for 3 days and then was placed on some heavy oral antibiotics for a week thereafter.
To complicate things a bit, I ended up with a bladder tear during the c-section (although my DH, who was in the room with me, thinks the OBs accidentally cut my bladder) prior to my tubal ligation and I wonder if that played in any part of this. (Meaning they were distracted trying to repair the bladder tear and that somehow impacted the TL.)
I won't even go into the whole story of what happened in the ER prior to having my ovary and tube removed. I'll just say I've lost a lot of faith in doctors, including my own OB/GYN...except for one general surgeon and a physicians assistant who truly cared about my health and well-being.

This is me ad well. It's terrible. I also have become very moody around my time. Terrible mood swings, crying, picking fights with dh for no reason which is partly why our marriage is non the rocks. I 100% regret my decision and wish I could go back and change it. I'm sorry you are having all these problems. My OB has told me several times it has nothing to do with the TL but I feel otherwise.

I'm sorry to hear you're having to deal with these issues as well.
I had started researching the TL after I had it done, but prior to the emergency surgery because I wanted to see if others were having the same problems I was having. Apparently there are a lot of women who have had terrible side effects, but many doctors are like yours and say it's unrelated...which is one of the reasons why I was hesitant to say anything to my GYN at that point. I was complaining to my DH about my issues and he kept telling me to speak with my GYN and I kept saying "He'll just poo-poo the notion that there's an issue or concern." A week later I ended up in the hospital.
I'm just debating what to do with the right side now because I'm still having the heavy bleeding. The painful ovulation seemed to go away when I had my left ovary & tube removed...go figure.
Some old, but interesting facts on Tubal Ligation.
I started looking into Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome.
