They all closed on the island???? I was looking into getting the conversion kit for DD's crib and can't get in touch with any of them. I called the main number and she told me they all closed except for Manhassett which is being renovated and she doesn't know when it will open. Anyone have any info on this? I need to pick up the conversion kit because the shipping is coming out to $215! The conversion kit alone is $220. My only option at this point is for them to ship to the city but I'd really rather not drive all the way out there.

Re: Bellini
Found this in a search. Hoping it's true. I can wait until June. www.theislandnow.com/great_neck/bellini-furniture-to-close-reopen-with-new-owners/article_2f396078-e9c1-11e4-b9d3-5b7460ac2fe4.html

They closed back in February. I bought our conversion kit then bc I was nervous I wouldn't be able to get it when the time came. Got it discounted too. Manhasset I think might reopen.
If not they still have their Manhattan, ct, etc stores. It's franchised so the LI ones all closed.

The Manhasset store is suppose to reopen. A drive to the store in Scarsdale is definitely cheaper than the shipping. I bought my DD crib there- the store manager is very helpful.

Re: Bellini
We are dealing with this now. Very annoying. I called the Manhattan store last week and they told me $330 to ship!! Completely ridiculous. I asked why and they said their warehouse is upstate.
I can wait a little longer and if Manhasset doesn't open in June, we will drive to one of the locations and pick up.

Why dont you search for bellini (your crib style name) conversion kit. Im sure there are other furn stores that sell it. Why does it only have to come from a bellini store? I have a munire set that i got the conversion rails from a store online thats in north carolina. Free shipping had it in 4 days.

Bellini is its own brand, not a store that sells other brands. To go with the crib it has to be Bellini.

No, like Pottery Barn. Their stores only.

I had the same problem, I didn't purchase the conversion kit when I bought my crib. I called one of the stores to inquire about purchasing it and the shipping and I was blown away with how much they wanted. I was going to take the drive to pick it up but the women on the phone, I am not sure if she felt bad or what but told me the name of the frame that went with the crib I bought. I was able to get it at sleepys. I don't know which crib you have but I just wanted to let you know that it is not an exclusive Bellini conversion kit, it is just a specific frame you have to buy. She did say she wasn't suppose to do that but she did for whatever reason. Hope this helps.

Would you be willing to just buy a regular bed for your DD? It's probably a lot cheaper than $200 plus shipping!
That's what we're going to do when it comes time to move DD into a bed. The conversion kit is just not worth the money.

If I would finally get pregnant and it was another girl I absolutely would just buy a bed, but DD is 3 and although she can probably last a few more months I feel like she really needs a bed and I was hoping to use her crib.
