Temping
I get up at different times of the day during the week but have been temping as soon as I wake up every day. Do you need to temp at the same exact time daily? I have to get up at 4:30am a few days of the week but refuse to do that on other days but have noticed that my temperature varies a bit from 4:30am to say 7am. Thoughts?

You need to temp at the same time every day. If you're temping at 4:30am some days, you need to set an alarm and test that time on all days.

Yeah it has to be the same time every day. I get up at 5:30 for work so on weekends I still do. I temp really quick and just fall back to sleep. I enter the temp when I get up. My thermometer remembers the last one.

You're supposed to. When I did it myself (just so I could micromanage TTC and know what was going on with my body) I didn't do it at the same time and was still clearly able to see ovulation. It didn't really matter to me if I wasn't doing it perfectly since it was just for my own knowledge.

Do you ladies use a BBT or just a traditional thermometer? If you use a BBT, which one do you have? I need to start temping once AF shows up.

I'm pretty sure it has to be BBT. I've had mine for quite a while, I think it came from Target but I'm not positive. It works fine but it does take a long time. I'm not sure if there might be faster ones out there.

Also, if you haven't yet and are interested, I highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's actually an easy read and gives you tons of information on how your body works. I read it before even TTC just so I could be more in tune with my body.
