Question on embryo transfer for LI IVF patients!
Does anyone know if Dr. Kenigsberg allows your DH to come in the room during the procedure? Thanks if anyone knows ...

Re: Question on embryo transfer for LI IVF patients!
I go to LI IVF. My doctor is Brenner and Kreiner did my transfer. My husband was allowed in and was cool to see the embryos being placed on the ultrasound screen. Good luck!!

Thanks! This is my 3rd time, hopefully it's a charm, but I've never had Kenigsberg, I've hard Kriener and Zinger, and he was allowed in those times. But I heard each doctor is different.

Question on embryo transfer for LI IVF patients!
Kenigsberg was my primary doctor, and did my retrieval but Brenner did my transfer. DH couldn't get off from work that day so my mom came with me -- no one asked if she was coming into the room with me, so I assumed she wasn't allowed. She waited for me in recovery.

Re: Question on embryo transfer for LI IVF patients!
i went to Livf for my first ivf and dr Kenigsberg was my dr . Dr Pena did my transfer and it as never mentioned to me that my husband was allowed and was very upset by it that I had to do alone . My next practice they just assume everyone's husband is going on.

I don't believe he allows it. I want to say I've read it somewhere on here. He did my first transfer and Dr. Brenner did my 2nd transfer. It wasn't offered to DH to come in with me. Just wheeled me out and told DH that they would have me right back.
Maybe its for sanitary reasons. Who knows?

Dr. Kenigsberg did my transfer several years ago and DH was not allowed in. He came with me for the prep and waited while I went in for the transfer.

it depends on the who you get that day. I had Dr KREINER, who did allow it. Not all of the drs do however. Just depends on who you get that day.

It is too bad to hear not all Dr's allow this. I just assumed it was pretty standard. I didn't have Keingsberg for my transfer but I have heard wonderful things about him. Maybe call ahead and ask. Or speak to him before the transfer.

The transfer was so fast and they were concentrating on making sure they had the right patient (me) and the right embryos and that they transferred them correctly. It was fine that DH wasn't there. He waited right outside and I was gone for maybe 10 minutes tops. After the transfer, they wheeled me back out to where DH was and he was with me while I laid down for the 20 minutes after.
