Did you also have to be induced with #2??

With DD I went to 41 weeks and the induction was the longest most annoying and slightly scary thing. Luckily all ended up well though and I was able to have a vaginal birth at 41wk1d. I keep hoping this next time around I will go into labor naturally on or before my due date. (If I were to go a week late again, it will land basically on Christmas day. Ack).

What were your experiences with this? If you had to be induced with #1, is it typical that it will be the same deal with #2? I would really like to avoid another induction if at all possible. But who knows.

But seriously, I will do anything in my power to avoid another induction. Not quite sure how to prevent low fluid but if I can, I'm going to. I never want to go through that again.

i was induced with #1 at 41 1/2 weeks and it was a horrific experience. it ended with a vaginal delivery with some major assistance after 3 days and 3 hours of pushing, but I was really torn up and petrified i would need it again with #2.
Luckily, I did not need to be induced with #2. i started losing my plug and physically felt my body dilating around 37-38 weeks. I went into natural labor with my DD around 39 weeks and she was born inside of 6 hours and 2 pushes (at over 9 pounds).

38 weeks tomorrow with #3 and no sign of a plug and no dilation yet. But feeling lots of pressure down low, so hopefully it will start soon!

i know everybody's different, and every pregnancy is different. But since our bodies have done this birth thing once before, I think nature has a way of kicking in most of the time so that medicine doesn't have to. Not every time, of course, there are always exceptions.. But i kinda feel like my body will go "oh yeah! I know what to do now..."

I was induced with number 1 bc I was late. Keep you posted on number 2 since I'm due in 5 weeks.

I will say that one has nothing to do with the other.

I was induced with both. My first at 40w6days, my second at 41 weeks. Both were textbook inductions, although my first was longer. With my second, once the cervidil kicked in and my doc broke my water, she was born in 2 hours. Good luck!!

Nope. I was induced 10 days past my due date with #1. I went into labor naturally on the morning of my due date with #2. I was really surprised because even just a few days before, I was saying how I didn't feel like anything was happening & I assumed I'd need to be induced again.

I was induced with my first at 41w5d, had a good experience and at 36w with my second I was already dialating so we scheduled an induction for 39w bc I was in so much pain and done. Well ds decided to come on his own 3 days before the induction so it wasn't needed.

I was induced with #1 for medical reasons and will be with #2 unless of course she decides to come early!!!

I was induced with ds due to gestational diabetes and will be with this baby as well. unless I go early with this baby.

Ds1 I was induced at 41 weeks.

Ds2 my water broke at 37 weeks 5 days.

I was induced with my first at 41 weeks, 1 day and it was an awful labor. With my second pregnancy I had twins and I was also set to be induced at 38 weeks. Luckily my water broke the day before my scheduled induction and the labor was so much easier. Good luck!

#1 induced at 41 weeks
#2 induced at 41 weeks
#3 took castor oil (worst mistake) starting labor but ended up needing pitocin induction anyway.
#4 still cooking

Was induced with my first at 40w 3 days - and had a blissfully perfect induction.

Am begging my current OBGYN to induce me a week or two early this time too - mostly because I live in Suffolk and am delivering in NYC.....and would rather not have DH deliver me on the side of the LIE.
