Should I feel guilty?
DD is 18 months old..for her we did a big gender reveal party. This baby I really don't want any to do anything just find out. DH feels like we should do at least a small reveal for our families since we did one for DD. IDk if it will matter in 10 years from now when LO#2 is looking at pics and is like umm where was my reveal. LOL...so stupid to worry right!

You don't have to have a big one like with your first. You can just do something more intimate with DH,DD and parents on both sides or just the 3 of you. That way you have pics to show him or her down the line.

Re: Should I feel guilty?
Before LIF I never even heard of a gender reveal. Honestly, nobody in my real life has ever done anything like that.
I told my parents it was a girl over the phone the night I got my amnio results.
There is nothing to feel guilty about.

Re: Should I feel guilty?
I don't know if reveals were that popular when I had DD 4 years ago. I hadn't even heard of them then. It was just understood that I'd find out at the anatomy scan and then call everybody with the exciting news. This time around I want to do one only because I didn't get to with the last and I don't plan on anymore kids after this. Plus with DD being old enough to really enjoy it, a reveal will be super fun to do together. So for ME, I feel like the reveal is more for DD. If she were younger, I probably wouldn't bother and I wouldn't feel guilty about it either. I don't feel an ounce of guilt over DD's lack of a reveal shindig. lol. Who cares? So I think you're fine.

This. And I'm sure you did tons for the first that you will probably not do for the 2nd. Its just the way it is. We get crazy excited for the first and do thing we will never have time for for the 2nd.
No need for guilt!!

Re: Should I feel guilty?
Thank ladies..I know I am being silly for even worrying about it. I am just so tired with working and having an 18 month old to chase..I can't imagine hosting or having parties. I have become quite the hermit this pregnancy. More than two people and a pizza and I get cranky at the idea of company lol...Im a grump.

Should I feel guilty?
I felt/feel the same way. DD1 is 15m old now and will be about 17.5m when DD2 is born. We did a big reveal, baby shower, the whole 9 for DD1. For DD2, we found out her sex at my sono and just sent out a text of DD1 holding a pink balloon, not having a shower, and I can't even tell you where half her sono pics are. I do feel bad and guilty and I don't want DD2 to think we weren't excited for her as much as we were for DD2.

Aww thats a cute idea!! I joke about the same thing for this ones sono pics being somewhere in my bag. DD1 had a frame that I updated everytime, I had the calendars and the baby books, we too did the whole 9 with all the parties...this time I just can't even imagine it. I know exactly what you mean about feeling bad! Just not bad enough I guess lol...poor kid!

Re: Should I feel guilty?
Maybe include her and buy a pink and a blue bear or a girl or boy doll and have the sono tech put the correct one in a box. Then have dd open it and video it.

Should I feel guilty?
I don't personally like gender reveal parties. Actually I detest when I get invited to 1. We did not have one and I had no desire for it. If you do everything the exact same way, then nothing about this pregnancy will be unique or special. Don't feel guilty about it.

Should I feel guilty?
As a second child myself, I have NO IDEA what my mom did for me vs my older sibling. Not a clue. My kids likely won't know or care either!!

This pretty much! DS is almost 3 and is really excited to find out what it is...we didn't do a reveal and never thought we would, but we will have family visiting around the time we find out so we figured it'd be fun. I wouldn't feel guilty either way,
