C-Section @ South Nassau Hospital

I'm in need of an OBGYN and I want to be sure I choose one that is a highly-skilled surgeon as I will be needing a scheduled c-section when the time comes. I have family members who use Dr. Ira Bachman and LOVE him, however none of them have had c-sections. Anyone here had a c-section with him? Any recommendations for high risk OBGYNS that deliver at South Nassau would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: C-Section @ South Nassau Hospital

I go to Horizon OB/GYN. I switched to them with my last pregnancy 5 years ago. I had a few complications and needed a C-Section, the group I was with at the time dropped the ball big time. I found this group and Dr.Thomlinson was able to sit down with me and went over everything step by step. This was all while I was 37 1/2 weeks pregnant. We felt better then we has most of the pregnancy. I have been going there since. We will be having another C-Section in September with him. Both at South Nassau.

Re: C-Section @ South Nassau Hospital

My best friend delivered at South Nassau last May and she ended up with a c-section and had one of the best recoveries I have seen. Her doc's name is Dr Bachman! And she loves him! Good luck!

Re: C-Section @ South Nassau Hospital

I had an unplanned c-section at South Nassau last August. My OB was not at the hospital at the time and I chose not to wait for her to get there. The OB who did my c-section, who was an associate of hers, was Dr. Charles Linder. I thought he was great. I go to Garden OB/Gyn it is a big practice and he is not high risk (I was a high risk patient GD and very anemic/iron deficiency).
