Anyone have any experience with an umbilical granuloma? My daughter has a thick one and the pediatrician said that using silver nitrate would more than likely not work because it is so thick so she has referred us to a surgeon (Dr.Scriven) through Stony Brook. We are meeting with him tomorrow. It's rather gross looking and oozes all over her clothes. It doesn't seem to bother her though which is good. Her cord fell off at 8 days and she is 6.5 weeks now. "Dr.Google" hasn't given me much information that I don't already know already so I would love to hear from someone that has had firsthand experience. Thanks in advance.
