Take it or leave it?

the background: I was recruited to a marketing agency 6 months ago as the lead writer. Although the responsibilities overlap with some of what I've done in the past, it's a new industry. I don't like the work. I miss the industry I was in. And I'm also worried about the security of my job.

With that in mind, I started applying for jobs about a month ago. I got two bites on my resume so far, one of which made me an offer really quickly. The work was exactly what I wanted to do but it was a cr@p offer and I had some reservations about the company itself. For the other position, I've made it to the final round of interviews and am now waiting on a decision. For the first job, my gut was telling me turn it down - regardless of what my work situation currently is - so I did. Fast forward two weeks later and the company came back at me yesterday offering me 10k more. That makes it a good offer that i am satisfied with. I told the lady I would like to discuss with her further - I want to address my reservations, and we are setting up a time to meet. In the meantime I've followed up with the other company (it's been a week since my final interview - i realize not very long), and have been actively applying since I turned this first job down.

So now I'm at a crossroads - I feel like this is a second chance with the first company. Even if I still have reservations after I speak with the owner, do I take the job anyway to get out of the danger zone here, or do I hold out even though I know I have the potential to lose my job in the meantime?

It doesn't really help that nobody else has responded to my applications. DH and I could afford for me to be out of work - it would be tight but we could manage - but I don't want to be in that position. We want to start a family soon.

If you feel comfortable after speaking to job 1 then i would probably take it. You can always reach out to job 2 andd let them know you just recieved and offer and would like to know if you are still being considerd.
