Back Pain

My back has become unbearable at night! I'm looking into a pregnancy pillow, any recommendations?

Re: Back Pain

I bought a snoogle very early. I really love it... as does everyone who has come to my house and tried it out. lol! DH tries to steal it each night.

Re: Back Pain

I have the snoogle since probably 12 weeks and it hasn't helped my back. the only thing that worked was sleeping on my back with pillows under my knees but now that isn't allowed Chat Icon I do find that having something behind my back when sleeping on my side feels better but nothing really stays in place. Not sure if the U-shaped pregnancy pillow would be better, but I was afraid it would take up too much room.

Re: Back Pain

When I was pregnant with DD my back pain got so bad that DH went and bought us a new mattress. It was my "christmas present" that year - he bought a Bob-O-Pedic and it was a LIFESAVER. I tried everything - pillows, heating pads, tylenol, nothing worked until we got the new mattress.

I love my snoogle. Used it for DD and never stopped! It's big though, we have a king bed so it's not a problem.

I love my snoogle. its definitely helped with my lower back and being able to have a (mostly sound) nights sleep.

With the snoogle do you have to keep switching it to the other side every time you roll?

Technically yes if you want to sleep the same exact mirror image way each side. But I keep it on my left so when I'm laying on my left, I'm curled up with it. When I roll to my right, I just pull the pillow a little between my knees and feet amd because my back is to it, it sort of cradles my back.

Re: Back Pain

I used a regular body pillow I got at Target for $10. Did the trick.

Good luck!

I don't. I keep it on my left side, where the wall is- or else my DH will take it over Chat Icon, and throw my whole body on it when I'm facing the left. When I turn to the right, I lean back on it a little so it supports my back (I find myself rolling onto my back in my sleep a lot, which I know is not good) and pull the bottom part up between my knees.
