Private middle/ high schools near Plainview/ Huntington
Wondering if anyone near these areas decided to send your DC's to private? Which schools and how did you ultimately make the decision? Any feedback is appreciated (even if you have family or friends attending), you can FM if more comfortable.

I don't know anyone personally who sent their children there but I've always heard great things about St. Anthony's in Huntington.

If you have a DD, Our Lady of Mercy Academy is in Syosset (HS). My niece goes there and she likes it.
You can visit the schools and meet with staff to help you make your determination.

long island school for the gifted is working on adding a full high school to their system. probably won't be functonal for 2-3 years though.

Same, I remember some girl I grew up with went there.

St Anthony"s is a great school. Know many graduates past and present. Current tuition though is $15k, I believe so it's not cheap.

Really??? That's almost double what all the other Catholic HS's are..
I thought that number sounded high but that's what Dh said, I Googled it's a little over $10K.

My kids go to St Patricks in Huntington Village. Thats until 8th grade. Excellent School.
For High School St Anthonys in Huntington and St Dominicks in Oyster Bay are both excellent private schools. Expensive though, as another poster said. Tuition runs a little over 10,000 a year, FYI.
