DOE maternity leave question- CAR days
Yes you would gain a day in September & October & if you needed to take a day you would just increase to -18.

DOE maternity leave question- CAR days
I saw you on the July group as I'm due in July as well. When are you due exactly? I work for the doe and it was explained to me that you can only use your car days for the 6 weeks (8 weeks for a section) immediately following the birth of the child. The clock starts ticking from the child's date of birth. So, you probably won't be negative that many days depending on your due date. For example, I'm due 7/9. If I had the baby on my due date, the 6 weeks will have expired by the time school resumes in September so I won't be able to use ANY of my car days and get paid. I can stay out for 12 weeks on FMLA, however, that is not paid. Hope that was clear.

Re: DOE maternity leave question- CAR days
Without Drs notes, they could be sent to medical and need clearance. I would be careful posting that on an online forum. It's against DOE policy and you can get into HUGE trouble for it. It's technically classified as theft of services from the chancellors office. Good for you that the principal allows it. I'd just be careful.
