New home owner - quotes for improvements
Hello Everyone! I am a new homeowner and I have a few improvements I am debating about doing this year!
1. Central Air ( what is a quote for 2 story home? any recommendations and any place that allows financing?)
2. Mason work- we need a patio and some basic landscaping (again any recommendations?)
3. Finishing out basement- no bathroom 1/4 will be a utility room and the rest would be finished (any recommendations on contractors for a fair quote?)
We are doing our taxes next week so just debating where to start. We are in a flipped house so everything is new we just want to make some improvements and we see this house as an investment.
Thanks :)

Re: New home owner - quotes for improvements
In my house I had to replace the air handler and compressor for my central AC two summers ago when the compressor died. That cost me about 7k, that is with existing ductwork so I'm not sure how much it would cost for that in addition. I did get a 1k PSEG rebate though I believe. We used Apple Air in Seaford and were happy with the install.

The central air may be between 7-10k I know our house the sellers paid $9300 with USA Air in port Jeff. They gave us the receipts from all work done in the house at closing. Not sure the details of the system completely- I do know we have to have the company come in the spring to add a zone in our house. I believe my parents paid like 8k with Twin Air. Mason work- we only got one quote for a patio in late 2015 but are holding off till spring. We were quoted $2300. I'll have to ask DH the details of what was included/ size

ductless AC is alot cheaper than central air and is very popular now- You wont lose all the attic space with central AC vents either. Maybe look into that, as it could be about half the cost

Patio is roughly $12-$15 per sq ft average. Highly recommend Dr. Pavers.
Landscaping really depends on what you want. We resodded 50% of our yard for $2k..... You can easily DIY a lot of landscaping with a little research. We borrowed a rototiller and did our own planting/mulch.
