None to Freeze
Had egg retrieval this past Wednesday, transferred two, 4 were left. Found out this morning they were not able to freeze any of the 4 so none left. I know in my heart of hearts the other two have not worked. So after a miscarriage, 3 years of trying, 5 failed IUIs, no "known" fertlity issues now a likely failed IVF, it's over. I am starting to come to terms with this morning that we will never have a child. So dissapointed.

Re: None to Freeze
Hang in there. None to freeze isn't indicative of the quality of the 2 you transfered. They transfer the best 2, so try to hold out some hope!

Re: None to Freeze
they gave you the best two.
i know mentally sometimes its easier to have the attitude of im going to expect the worst and hope for the best b/c i've been there.
but really..you never know.
my friend put back 3 so so embies. the dr's were hesitant to transfer them. it was her 7th fresh round b/c she never had anything make it to freeze. and she got her daughter from it.
praying for you!!

This !
It's not over til that b!tch AF arrives. And if that happens, you decide then what you want to do.
I'm on the other end of its just not gonna happen for me. At least biologically. And I made it out. Stronger than ever!
Sending you tons of Dust!! Keep the faith for now

None to Freeze
With DD #1 I had 28 eggs or so of which 18 fertilized. I had 0 to freeze after they transferred 2.
With DD #2 same story...none to freeze.
It's not over yet. Try to keep your head up

Re: None to Freeze
They probably have very high standards of what makes it to freeze. It doesn't at all mean that the ones they transferred did not take. Some clinics freeze everything- some have a rigid criteria.

None to Freeze
Don't stress it yet - you put back two great embryos! I transferred 2 and had none to freeze. I now have a 22 month old.

None to Freeze
None to freeze is very normal. IVF 1- none to freeze. IVF 2- 2 to freeze. IVF 3- 1 to freeze. I had 15 fertilize with my last IVF. I transferred 2 (1 is DS) and only had 1 to freeze. I thought with 15 I would of had more to freeze but nope. I still had so many going on day 5 but they weren't up to their standards. Hopefully those 2 bring you a baby!

None to Freeze
Thanks all for your positive thoughts. I am preparing myself though to move on as this will be my only way to deal with this. Adoption is not for us, planning a revised future for us.

Re: None to Freeze
Did they give you info on the ones you transferred? How many cells and grade? I had only 1 embryo make it to day 3 after retrieving 17 mature follicles. That embryo is now my 2 1/2 year old daughter. So you just never know.
