Natural Birth w/ Twins?
Hey everyone. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has actually gotten to deliver twins naturally?
I am going in for a frozen embryo transfer this weekend and we are putting in two.( first time we put in one and I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks.). So my biggest hang up is the fact that I am likely guaranteed to have a csection and I really am afraid of that. I want to get to experience at least having an opportunity to push my baby out. Either way I have been waiting 4 years to start a family so I'm just hoping I get to have at least one healthy baby! Thanks everyone.

I did!
Water broke Thursday night around 5pm.
Admitted to hospital at 7.
Next day Friday, got epi @9, starting pushing around 1 at 2:10pm my first daughter was delivered and then.... At 3:40- YES, one and half hours later, my second daughter.
My entire pregnancy was delightful. Labor wasn't too bad.
Throughout the pregnancy they weren't always head down. I didn't analyze every single thing... Just mentally prepared myself whatever will be will be.
The second baby just took longer, that's all. Baby was never in distress. C/section wasn't really discussed much. I felt that it would be a game day decision.
Delivered 37 weeks 2 days. Full term for twins.
Delivered on a Friday, they came home on Sunday.

Wow. Thank you for sharing your story. Where do you live and who was your doctor? What hospital did you deliver in. If I do end up with twins I may need to look you up again for advice! Thanks again and congratulations on your babies!

I live in Nassau County.
I divered at LIJ - 2010.
The doctor that delivered my girls was part of the dr group.
It was my first time meeting her.

Natural Birth w/ Twins?
I delivered my twin boys naturally at LIJ in 2012. No complications whatsoever in my pregnancy or during delivery. Delivered Wednesday and came home Friday. Good luck!

I delivered my twins "naturally". I also have an older DD so perhaps that helped, but as long as they are both head down you can go for a vaginal birth.
