Starting the process for #2...
and I am dreading it as well as happy and anxious....way too many emotions to deal with. It was super hard when we were TTC last time but now that we have our DS it just feels harder...its hard to explain what I am feeling.
Anybody else going for #2???

Re: Starting the process for #2...
Our #2 is going to be 1 in a few weeks. I actually found going for the second to be much easier because I already knew the entire process, and I knew the outcome could be a baby in my arms. With us, it was also easier b/c the RE just went right to what he knew "worked" the first time. There's less of a learning curve the second time around, if you know what I mean.
So hang in there. You know it'll be worth it in the end!

DS is almos 5 months and I think about it all the time. I am terrified with starting the process again and even more nervous about miscarrying again. But I guess if you don't try you will never know. Good luck to you

Re: Starting the process for #2...
DH and I have been talking about starting to ttc #2 this summer. But we go back and forth about it all the time. Right now we want to wait but tomorrow I might say ok let's try.
The thought of finding a new RE because I need someone closer to home now with a toddler, finances because my new insurance sucks, and just the exhaustion of running around, the meds, the procedures. I don't know if I want to (or could) go through it again.
If you ever want to talk feel free to FM me.

Starting the process for #2...
We are! We just met with our RE. So different then the 1st time around, in a good less scary kinda way. I'm nervous for the emotional rollercoaster that comes along with IVF. Mentaly i feel different. Im not trying to achieve motherhood like i was the 1st time. That makes it a bit less stressful.

Starting the process for #2...
Best of luck! How old is your little guy now? 2?
As for me we have one frozen embryo for an attempt at #2. I know its a long shot but we will try it at some point. Seems like maybe in a year or so. I'm really hoping that works because the thought of starting all over kills me. Uhhh IF has totally screwed me up. I think about it EVERY day.
Wishing you a way easier road this time!

Starting the process for #2...
I'd like to try for number 2 next summer. If we try, we're doing one fresh round and then we're done. I don't have it in me to do more. Right now, I'm just enjoying my DS. He's at a great age and hanging out with him is so much fun.

Starting the process for #2...
I just had my DS in February and we are already trying to figure out when we are going to go for #2. I honestly think I am going to go back this summer and do any testing they might want and then try again at the end of the year. I am looking 40 in the face (2 years away) and I feel like I need to do it sooner rather than later. DH and I talked about it and I am not really willing to go through anything like I was the first time around. I am thinking right now that I will do a few IUI's and then one IVF and that's it. I am kinda nervous about how I am going to juggle it all with a baby but we will make it work. I do worry about walking into the RE's office with a baby - I know it's crazy but I think it will be weird the first time.

Awesome! Such a fun age. Also if all works out being about 3 years apart is a great age gap. Well so I hear anyways...
Best of luck!

We kinda wanted to have an age gap to be able to enjoy my DS before we had another child. Hopefully it does work out and they will be around 3 yrs apart.

Re: Starting the process for #2...
NicoleF219- I started trying for my second at 38 (39 now) and it's been MUCH more difficult this time. 4 IUIs and 1 IVF later and I'm still not pregnant. I was 33 when I started trying for my son. Got pregnant on second IUI but lost the baby. My son was the third IUI. I recommend doing it sooner and not putting it off. It just gets more and more difficult the older we get. Get luck.

Re: Starting the process for #2...
I am in the same situation. My DD is 2.5 and the result of my 2nd IUI. This time around we have been trying for a year and a half. I got pregnant naturally right after my daughter's 1st birthday but it ended in a miscarriage at 9 weeks. I have had 5 IUIs and 3 chemical pregnancies. We are now about to start our very 1st IVF cycle. I am nervous and excited at the same time. Wishing you the best of luck!

Makes sense! I'm nervous about waiting but hubby wants to enjoy our little guy and would prefer a 3 year age gap.
Fingers crossed for you!

Unfortunately, I've had a similar experience. I was so positive going into IVF for #2 because it worked so easily for #1 but it's been a much harder process this time. I'm in my late thirties and I see the difference. Sorry to be a downer but it makes me wish we had started TTC #2 earlier. I hope your experience is much easier!
