Planting Seeds?
I have some tomato seeds I want to plant indoors then transplant outside. Am I too late? Should I not even bother?

no - you're good. Plant them indoors for now and I would say transfer them outdoors in the beginning of June. I think that's when my Dad plants his outdoors.

Re: Planting Seeds?
You're a little late; I started seeds on 4/1 and they're going into the garden this weekend. But tomatoes sprout pretty quickly. You should get at least one round of tomatoes by October (typically the end of growing season on LI). Plant them in little peat pods indoors and keep a constant source of light on them for 15-18 hours a day. I'd try to get them into the ground (or a large pot) by Memorial Day weekend. Pick the sunniest spot you can find on your property. Good luck!
