Would you feel comfortable

With someone other than you or dh giving your 9 month old a bath. It is one of the bathtubs that fits into the kitchen sink.

Re: Would you feel comfortable

Yup. No problem as long as they are responsible. My parents and Inlaws were babysitting my boys at that age and would give him a bath.

It depends on the attentiveness of the person.
To give you an example, my mom is ok, but DH is not (he doesn't anticipate DC going down.
In the sink is probably very safe... But even when I was working a crazy schedule, I gave all baths or skipped.

I'd feel comfortable with my parents giving them a bath but other than that I don't see a reason anyone else would be doing it.

Re: Would you feel comfortable

Clearly I'm in the minority, but no. Lol. But even *I'm* a bit nervous about baths. Too many chances for an accident to happen. The infant tub does make it a bit easier, but still... It'd really, really depend on who was doing it but they'd have to be experienced. But generally speaking I'd rather my kid go without a bath for a few days than someone else be in charge of it.

Re: Would you feel comfortable

Yes our babysitter didn't regularly bathe DS, but if there was an accident and she needed to, I was very thankful that she did. Her son is only 7 months older so she had all the supplies.

There are a few people I would not trust to give by child a bath because I feel they are not attentive enough. They would look away, or walk away to get something. other than these few people I would have no problem. My SIL bathed my twins for me many times when they were infants while I tried to do other things around the house or when I was out.

Re: Would you feel comfortable

Just wanted to add that my mom and dad were and are even MORE careful with my DD than me and DH are!
So, yes, definitely them or my sister, etc
