Pre-op for C-section?
I go for my pre-op Wednesday, c-section is Thursday. Can you to me what they do? Do I put on a gown etc??

Pre-op for C-section?
I had mine at LIJ 2 years ago and it was mostly bloodwork and a physical and they take your medical surgical history. Relatively quick but the wait was long !

I had mine at LIJ pretty much a year ago this this week and I didn't have to change into a gown. They took a urine sample, did weight, vitals, did a bunch of bloodwork and took history. Super quick! I spend more time in the waiting room than in the exam room!

Winthrop.... But they asked some quick questions and did bloodwork. Easy peasy. Hopefully it's as efficient where you'll be because I was in and out in under a half hour!

Pre-op for C-section?
No nothing like that. They take your vitals, lots of blood and then they give you this body wash with instructions to prepare for the C-section the morning of. Like Pennycat said, in and out quickly.
p.s. I went into labor 7 hours later LOL (still had a c-section)

Well I never made it to pre-op. Went into labor this morning, c-section within the hour. This baby wants out!!!

Bumping this ... I just had to schedule mine for LIJ Katz next week and when I asked the girl on the phone how long it would take she said roughly 2 hours .. that they do BW, urine, physical and EKG ... is this true?? Thinking maybe she was new and didn't know what she was talking about. Thx!
