Southwest airlines - Cancelling flight reservation
I searched the website and called and there is a long hold. Does anyone know how close to the flight you can cancel your reservation? I thought I read something like 10 minutes but I want to double check. I have a flight Sunday I will probably cancel but want to wait until tomorrow but not sure there is a time limit of cancelling and not getting a credit.

For nonrefundable reservations within 24 hours of booking:
If you call or cancel online at Southwest.com within 24 hours of booking, Southwest will offer you the option of refunding the airfare back to the original form of payment, or retaining the credit to be used toward future travel.

For nonrefundable reservations within 24 hours of booking:
If you call or cancel online at Southwest.com within 24 hours of booking, Southwest will offer you the option of refunding the airfare back to the original form of payment, or retaining the credit to be used toward future travel.
That is within 24 hours of booking, not 24 hours within traveling
You can cancel up to like 30 minutes before I believe.

All airlines have to permit cancellation and full refund of a flight within 24 hrs of booking. It's been the law for a couple of years now. Southwest allows you to change a flight with no penalty (just pay the difference for the new flight l, if any), it I don't know how much in advance you have to do that.

SW Cancellation Policy - at least 10 minutes before flight.
I am not sure if that refers to boarding or departure time so to be on safe side, I would make sure to cancel within 40min of flight departure (10 min before boarding time).
