A Day In Montauk
I am planning a day out in Montauk during the week. I will be going with my Mom and 2 kids (6 and 7). I plan on starting at the Lighthouse. We won't climb up because I know my mom wouldn't be able to handle the stairs.I looked into previous posts and people suggested walking around town or going to the beach. Does anyone have any specific beaches or restaurants they recommend? I want to make the most of the day and would hate to spend time looking for places for lunch and/ or beach. TIA!

A Day In Montauk
We love Inlet Seafood Restaurant. Any of the beach in Montauk is great, there are no fields etc.. Also either of the Bkfast diners in the main area are cash only FYI. =)

Navy Beach if you want to eat with your feet in the sand. Buddhaberry - amazing frozen yogurt! Candied Anchor - cutest little candy shop in the village. There is a puff and putt right as you enter the village. The playground at the local school is cute but only if its a cloudy day - totally exposed so not good in the full sun.
Have fun!!

We love Ditch Plains beach. Restaurants, we like Salivars for seafood. It's right by Gosmans Dock, which is a good spot to walk around at.

A Day In Montauk
I do plan on going Thursday so I will have to check it out. I'm glad to see that there are several beaches we can visit. We may pack a lunch and grab a snack or ice cream. Thank you all for the advice. I'm looking forward to our day there.

Re: A Day In Montauk
When we went last year, we did the lighthouse, then the beach (Kirk I believe) then ate at Rick's Crabby Cowboy Cafe. It was awesome. Loved that place because food was good, it was outdoors AND kids loved it because they could walk around, look at the boats etc. They also have fire pits to roast smores.
