What do you send in as a "smock" for school?
DD is starting kindergarten and needs a smock. Do people usually go out and buy some sort of smock? I wouldn't even know where to look. Do we send in an old t-shirt of mine or DH's?

I send in an old button down shirt of DH's and cut the sleeves to fit her length. I find the button downs are easier to get on than a T shirt.

Toys r us has smocks. In the art section. I know crayola makes one.

An old shirt of DH's.
ETA: He has a melissa and doug smock at home we got as a gift. It covers his shirt only. DH's shirt will cover his whole outfit lol

I had gotten one from ikea. It was cheap but I wouldn't have gone there if I didn't live close by. Any big shirt should be fine

Michael's has kid smocks - it's like a blue apron - it's a few dollars.

DS is starting Kindergarten on Tuesday (AHHH!!!  ) and a smock was on his list, too. i just got him a men's size small or medium short sleeve t-shirt from Target for like $3 on clearance. it covers his whole outfit, so it should be good LOL
