May be miscarrying - update #2
I'm bleeding but they can't tell where the bleeding is coming from and I'm crampy almost feel like I'm constipated. Just went in for a sono and there is a sac of some sort but they can't tell if anything is in it yet. I'm 5w3d. I feel like there should be more. Getting beta done now and mon and then on mon wil find out if the pregnancy will continue.
Update - still unknown per dr. My Hcg didn't double it went from a 1518 to 2889. Should have been over 3000. The sono tech thinks she sees the beginning of something growing so dr said it's now a waiting game. I have another sono on Sat to see if the something has progressed. There is definitely a sac but dr said she is not confident to tell me if it will be viable this early in the game. Ugh.
Update #2 - I have a Subchorionic hematoma which caused the bleeding. Saw hb today at 119. Dr said my miscarriage rate was 60% last week and 10% this week. Will feel so relieved once the first trimester is over.

May be miscarrying
Thanks everyone. They suggested bed rest for today and tomorrow so I'm just hanging out and crying. Dh doesn't know what to say nor does my mil who is visiting from OOS so they are both just letting me be. I don't think the bed rest will help sway the final outcome. Dr said said there is a 50/50 chance and we have to wait and see.

Re: May be miscarrying
Bleeding in and of itself doesn't mean a m/c. I bled with both of my pregnancies. How heavy is the bleeding, and are you cramping?

Yes, continous painful cramping in my stomach. TMI feels like I'm constipated and have to take a really big poop. Bleeding was all night and it was bright red blood and they saw blood in the sono. I'm not bleeding now. They weren't able to tell if the sac increased in size from last week. I was a bit over 4 weeks, now I'm 5w3d. They aren't seeing anything in the sac.

Re: May be miscarrying
I had bleeding from subchorionic hematomas with my last pregnancy and with this one. It is much more common in IVF than with natural pregnancy (not sure how this baby was conceived) but for me, it did not mean loss.
As far as seeing anything in the sac, 5w3d is SUPER early. The only thing you could see would be the ring from the yolk sac, and not necessarily for a few more days. Hang tight! I'm hoping for good news

Same I had an SCH at 9 weeks and bled for 3 weeks straight. When I was around 5 weeks you can tell I had 2 sacs but it was hard to see if both had a yolk sac, 6 weeks 1 day both were present and had beating hearts. I conceived via IUI as well. Praying for you!

May be miscarrying
Sorry to be gross, but if it's not clotty, i'd be less worried. My miscarriages were always clotty. If they saw the sac after bleeding that is a good sign. With my last 2 miscarriages at 5 1/2 weeks... the sac passed early on... and then the bleeding subsided because I was on progesterone... and I didn't continue bleeding / miscarrying until a few days after progesterone was stopped. Praying for you and hope you get good news tomorrow.
