Re: if you have a boy - walking related
1st DS 14 months 2nd DS 10 months
I think it's just different for every kid rather than boy vs girl. I have a friend whose DD just started walking at 15 months.

Re: if you have a boy - walking related
DS1 - 11 months DS2 - 13 months
FWIW, DS2 wasn't showing any signs of walking at his first birthday and sure enough within 2-3 weeks later it just started. You're def still in a typical range for any baby to learn to walk.

if you have a boy - walking related
My boys walked around 10 months each. I was over 1 when I started to walk. If your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be either. Every kid is different!

if you have a boy - walking related
DS1 took his first steps on the day of his first birthday party.
DS2 is 15 months and still not walking. He is receiving PT and OT for low tone but the pediatrician said walking any time before 18 months is generally considered normal as long as no other issues are present.

My DD is 10 months and not walking. 12 months doesn't seem late at all.
DH didn't walk until he was almost 2.5. That is not an exaggeration. I assure you, he walks just fine now!

DS 1- 11.5 months DS 2- 12 months
My friend's DD didn't walk until 17 months and is perfectly fine. I would not worry at all at this point.

13 mo. At 11 mo, I took him for an evaluation, because I didn't like the way he placed one of his feet. The Dr thought I was nuts. My twin DD's walked at 9 and 10 months

Re: if you have a boy - walking related
I think it all depends on the kid. My DS walked earlier than my DD by 3 months. He took his first steps (without the aid of a walking toy) the week or two before his first birthday. My DD walked independently at 15 months.

if you have a boy - walking related
I've heard the same thing! DS1 started walking once he turned 1. DS2 is almost 15 months and doesn't walk yet, he pulls himself up, walks holding himself from things like the couch, and has recently started to take 2 or 3 steps by himself but def not walking yet.

Re: if you have a boy - walking related
I don't remember actual first steps, maybe 12 mos but walking with consistency was between 13 and 14 mos.
