Recommend your curling wand
I use the Hot Tools Curling Iron as a curling wand. It gets super hot and my hair holds the curl all day long.

I have the drybar curling iron. I LOVE it. I have super thick hair.
I keep wanting to buy this. I am terrible at working curling irons though. I need a wand. I do like how the wand piece on this turns though and you don't have to turn the entire thing. is it easy to operate and not get that kink in your hair (like i always do) that a regular curling iron gives you?

The wand is harder and I got some nasty burns from it. I am back to a regular curling iron.

The drybar curling iron is a nice in between bc it has a straight clip that lightly grips the hair to keep it in place. They showed me how to do it in store but if you watch a youtube you will see how easy it is. And this is coming from someone who was never able to master a curling iron or a wand prior to this.

I have this and can't for the life of me use it right. I know it's just that I don't know what I am doing.

I thought it was just me. I can't use the wand for the life of me. I try to use the curling iron for waves.

Recommend your curling wand
I have 2 and also have thick hair -
Remington curling wand, the 1/2 inch one. It gives a tighter curl, gets really hot and holds all day (and the next for me)
Nume 1" classic curling wand- I use this one all the time. I love it, gives a looser curl. This one also holds all day and the next for me.
Look up some YouTube tutorials on how to curl your hair with a wand, that's how I learned! At first it's hard, but you def get the hang of it quickly
ETA: I think the wand is easier too!
