Babies on Neocate/with Milk Protein Allergy
My son was just diagnosed with a milk protein allergy after having been on Alimentum for 2 weeks. His stool became full of mucus and bloody. I had his stool tested twice and both times it tested positive for blood. (it was visible as well)
Since switching to the Neocate, his stool has become normal for what I have read is normal online for a baby on Neocate. I'm not sure if there is still blood in his stool (we go to the GI Dr. tomorrow and I will ask to have it tested again)
Anyone gone through this? Did your baby get any better when on the Neocate? What else can I expect?

Pretty sure I received a new child 2 weeks after switching to Neocate.
And I also got my life back.
It may just be my favorite thing in the world.
And this coming from a super pro-breastfeeding mama.

did your baby have the bloody stools as well? did your baby have any gassiness once you switched? i don't know if my son is just starting to become colic-y or if its the gas from the formula

She did better with digestion (no blood) but developed really bad acid reflux and hated the formula. Rarely drank more than 12-16 oz a day. Drove me nuts!

Neocate changed my child...she projectile vomited every feeding for 8 weeks and once she was on Neocate, she was finally not! She did continue to have silent reflux and needed axid for well over a year. We finally transitioned to nondairy milk at 18 months.

Ugh this is what im going through now. How did you cope? Any tips? (Sorry to hijack)!
My son never had any visible blood or mucus in his stool but when i brought him to the gi for reflux he found trace blood and switched his formula. I was shocked. I was hoping for a fix for reflux and came home with a new formula that made it worse. Cant stand this process!!
