Amazon (prime) - easy to do returns?

When I buy clothing online (from places like Gap/Banana Republic/Macys) I buy multiple sizes because I don't know how the items will fit.

Since these are big stores I never have a problem going to the store and returning something I bought online.
They never even ask "Why are you returning the item"

I recently got Amazon Prime. If I buy clothes (and other items) - how easy is it to return something?
I mean both the act of returning and the hoops I have to jump through.

Thank you!

Very easy. It's all done online. You just pack it up and leave it outside for pick up. UPS almost always brings the label.

Amazon (prime) - easy to do returns?

Depends on the seller and their policy. I tried to return an iPhone case I accidenglh bought in the plus size. When I selected the reason it charged me a return fee. So I went back and changed the reason and it took away the fee.

I wouldn't buy clothes from Amazon though for that reason. Even with prime.

Very easy. Especially know that they come to you (if they always came to you I never knew this). I just did it for the first time the other day. It was really easy just boxed it back up UPS came and took it.

In the past it was just as easy, but a little less inconvenient cause you had to drop the box off at a UPS store.

ETA: If I were going to buy something that I might return I would make sure it has free returns before purchasing.

Do you use the same box that the items came in to return?

I don't mind bringing the box to the Post Office, I'm worried about encountering "hassles".

When I return to Old Navy/Gap/Macys/etc - I just bring it to the counter and they take it and return it. Never get questions, never get a "You are returning your whole online order, whats up with that", very easy.

I'm worried the seller will charge a restocking fee, or they will come out and say "No returns" or some other fine print that I didn't notice! That's why I've always only bought online from places that have a physical store (since I can just drop in and do the return)

Thanks!

Super easy. Just go under your orders to the item and click return. You can choose from a lis of reasons and that's about it. I've had items picked up in the past ama they bring the label but my last return they wanted to charge for that. So I just printed the label and dropped it at the ups store.

It's very easy as long as you are buying items where it says there are free returns.

I use the same box. But Amazon doesn't use USPS, they use UPS for returns. You can drop at UPS or schedule a pick up. For certain items, if you select "no long want" as the reason for returning, they will charge you for shipping. I encountered this on a pair of pointe shoes recently...but then when I selected "inaccurate description" on website, there was no charge (and it really was inaccurate since they were WAY smaller than they were sized as). Sooo, just make sure you select the correct option for returning!

You just have to watch each item and that it says Free Returns BEFORE you purchase it
