What are your must do family vacations?
What are your must do family vacations or where have you been that you loved and would recommend?
I have a lot and am constantly adding to the list.
Disney World/Disney cruise
Beaches Turks and Caicos - even though I've read mixed reviews on here. Atlantis, Bahamas Other family, friendly Carribean destinations like Aruba.
I think we're really fortunate to live in the Northeast and have such amazing destinations. In no particular order. Boston Washington, DC Maine - need to figure out where to go. Montauk Newport, RI Mystic, CT Lake George Jersey Shore (Cape May) Ocean City, MD Philadelphia
The "kid" destinations like Hershey Park, Sesame, Dutch Wonderland, Crayola Factory, etc.
Other places - Williamsburg, VA, Outer Banks, Myrtle Beach, other FL destinations.
Ok, I'm stopping because I feel like I can go on and on. Lol
What are yours?!

Rocking Horse Ranch in the winter. Love their winter activities (skiing, tubing, horseback riding in the snow, etc.). It's quaint and my kids love it!!
Puerto Rico, we stayed on the beach and LOVED it! Visited Icacos Island on a snorkeling trip and it was gorgeous.
Disney cruise, the best! Love their private island, and the level of service on the ship.
Wildwood...Morey's Piers is a great time, super clean and family friendly.
White Mountains, NH. We went this Summer and LOVED it!! So scenic, so much to do. We also did Santa's Village there and it was beyond adorable!!

I would also add Niagara Falls. We had such a nice time when we've been there.

Disney, Disney cruise ( something for everybody, they spoil you!!!) And a road trip to all the national parks out west ( Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, arches, Mesa verde, glacier, Zion, Bryce, mt. Rushmore, petrified Forrest...) we did that as a pre teen and I still feel like it's one of the best trips I've been on

Re: What are your must do family vacations?
This is a subjective subject because it all depends on your family.
Best trips we have taken with the kids?
Cruises.
We have done 2 of them and have another one booked this upcoming May. The ones we have taken have been child friendly & action packed so they have never felt bored. And neither has DH & I.
We have done Aruba as well - which was perfect for us because our kids absolutely LOVE the beach & Pool. And I just adore that island for so many reasons.
We went to Italy to visit family this past summer, and I can say this was by far the best experience of our lives. It was such a great experience for the kids who met distant cousins and experienced a whole different part of the world.
Great learning experience.
We did Disney too. Never again. At least not for a few years.
And I know thats not a popular answer here but, it just wasn't for us.
Like I mentioned, best family vacations are totally subjective.

Re: What are your must do family vacations?
I want to do the west coast eventually. Maybe do Disney LAND out there for a day or so and then see southern Cali.
Do northern Cali on another trip
I want to take her to Washington DC once she is a bit older- I really enjoyed that trip with DH before we had DD.

What are your must do family vacations?
We take a family trip to Ocean City, MD every year. My SIL has a 6 & 4 year old and we have been doing since the oldest was about a year and a half. we always have a great time. There is tons to do for families, for adults, for children. It's a great time. This summer will be the first time we are going with a baby (who will be around 6 months) and I know it will still be a great time.
We also love cruises. We have been doing those as family vacations for many years as well.

Any recommendations? This will be our family trip next year. Kids will be 4, 2, and the baby will be 5 mos.

Re: What are your must do family vacations?
So far we have brought our girls (3 and 7) to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Washington D.C., and Disney World. We used to be big travelers (even lived in Europe for a bit) but stopped because of money and time. Now I feel like we can finally start travelling again without it being a waste!
Our (tentative) plan for the next few years (assuming we can save up for these): 2017: Texas (Dinosaur Valley and driving from Dallas to Houston) 2018: Japan (DH's cousin is living there temporarily there so we can stay for free) 2019: Bahamas 2020: Grand Canyon and Arizona 2021: California (driving down the PCH)
Happy travels to all!

What are your must do family vacations?
Our bucket list with DD (when she's older):
Hawaii Grand Canyon Vancouver Alaska Iceland England/Ireland/Scotland Scandinavia
I have no desire to take her to Disney, Hershey, waterparks of any kind, or any hotel that uses "dude" as an adjective. I'm a terrible mother.

What are your must do family vacations?
The kids loved St. Lucia. Our resort was very kid friendly. A few years ago we went on a cruise that stopped at Bahamas. We did an excursion to Atlantis. It was amazing. This summer we are renting a condo in St. Thomas. We are so excited for that one. We are going skiing/snowboarding at Mont tremblant in Canada next month. This will be our first time there. We loved: Lake George Boston Great Wolf Lodge Dorney Park Florida (Disney) Philadelphia Hershey Park Skiing at Okemo
We want to do DC soon and Camelback Indoor waterpark. I just found out about Brownstone Park in Connecticut. The place looks awesome. Hopefully we could do it this summer. I think it's worth checking out.
