What convertible car seats are you using? I found a couple on the cheaper end that have awesome reviews and safety features, but I'm curious as to what you ladies are using.

I have a Graco 4Ever in my car and both DH and my mom have Graco Contenders. Both are great seats -- Contender is just more basic, while the 4Ever has more features.

We have a Britax Marathon and a Graco 4Ever. I prefer the Graco.

The Graco contender is what I was thinking of for mine and DHs car. Why do those of you that have that prefer it over some of the more expensive seats? I also found an Evenflo seat thats less then $100 that I was thinking about for my mom, sister and in-laws as they all have him in cars at some point during the week. I'd prefer to not be switching the seats from car to car so affordability is key...

For one, we have a limited budget. I have no desire to spend double or triple on a seat that passes the same safety standards. I looked at reviews and the contender was very well rated. We've been using it over 6 months now and have had no issues. It's easy to install, easy to get the straps nice and snug, and dd has never complained even on long trips. We got it on black Friday for just under $100.

Re: Carseats
Britax Marathon - convertible
Britax Frontier - Harnessed booster.
All car seats pass the safety test.
Most of the time as long as your child fits in it properly and you can get a correct instal you can use which ever seat you prefer.
From what I see Prices are usually dependent on how long a car seat will last before they expire weight and height limits and ease of installing and moving the harness etc. Along with some extra safety features
I personally don't like graco for some reason I have such a hard time installing them while others love them.
I love britax mainly because it is such an easy install for me.

Price was a huge factor for me as well. I was thinking about this because BRU is doing their trade in event now, so thats a huge price break. Its relieving to hear that others liked it. Thanks!!!
