Go to Pulled Pork recipe??
I slice an onion thinly and put that on the bottom. Then I add a pork shoulder with the fatty side up. You can add root beer or beef stock, enough to come up about half way. I've been sticking with stock lately bc it tastes just as good so I'd rather skip the soda. I try to give it about 12 hours on low which makes it tender and easy to shred. If it doesn't shred easily it needs to cook longer. Drain the liquid, shred the meat and return it to the crockpot, stir in your favorite bbq sauce and let it warm through before serving.

Re: Go to Pulled Pork recipe??
I use loin of pork, fatty side up doused with garlic, add a bottle of beer. Recently I have been using chocolate stout. Cook on high 6 hours. Take out the meat, shred it. Toss the cooking liquid, add more beer and some bbq sauce and heat another 20 min or so.

Go to Pulled Pork recipe??
I just made it today! I am not a big fan of crockpot recipes, but this was excellent. I trimmed and scored a 4lb. Pork shoulder. Made one big cut to compress it to fit the crockpot. Then I brined it in the fridge for about 8 hours with water, salt, 2 whole cloves, brown sugar, pepper, paprika, ancho child powder, garlic and a bay leaf.
I drained the brine, rinsed the roast and patted it dry. I coated it with an applewood smoked dry rub then placed it in the crockpot, fat side up. I stirred together 1/2 cup cider vinegar, 1/2 cup natural ketchup, 1Tbsp onion powder, 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 2 tsp. Dijon, 1Tbsp. Worcestershire, 1 tsp. Garlic Pour this over the roast, cook on low for 10 hours I was there to skim off a lot of fat! After the roast had rested in the crock, I drained the juices and let them stand in a gravy simmer and poured off the fat. Boil the juice until it is reduced by half. Add BBQ sauce to taste, shred meat.

Re: Go to Pulled Pork recipe??
My SIL gave me the easiest recipe known to man
For Crock Pot
Boneless Pork Shoulder Roast (3 1/2 - 4 1/2 lbs) 1 Can of Campbell's Tomato Soup 1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Stir soup, sugar, vinegar & garlic powder together in the crock pot. Add the pork and turn to coat the meat.
Cover and cook on Low 8-9hrs (on HIGH for 5-6) or until pork is fork tender ( I do less for smaller roast) Spoon off fat. Take pork out, shred it and put back into the slow cooker to mix in the sauce. Keep on warm while serving
DELICIOUS! and so easy. I always have all ingredients on hand.

Re: Go to Pulled Pork recipe??
Omg I love this pulled pork...
I put pork loin in crock pot and pour a can of cream soda over it. Then I rub all sides with brown sugar, salt, & pepper. I spread some BBQ sauce on top. HAS to be Kraft Original BBQ sauce. I use SweetBaby Rays for all other BBQ sauce needs but for this pulled pork the Kraft is the best. Cook on low for a few hours. I then drain some of the cream soda and add more BBQ sauce & cook for a little while longer. Shred and serve however you'd like. We put it on some type of bread--usually Martins potato rolls.
