Refacing Cabinets....
Anyone do this instead of getting all new cabinets? I have a big kitchen, and it would cost too much to replace them all. If so, who did you use?

Refacing Cabinets....
This does not answer your question but just throwing out another idea. I am about to paint all my kitchen cabinets with annie sloane chalk paint. It looks really simple. I have watched a million YouTube videos. You dont need to sand or prime. Just paint and then rub on the wax. If you cabinets are in good shape like mine but you just dislike thwm this is a good idea. I am doing white

Re: Refacing Cabinets....
I currently have cherry cabinets, and a dark counter top. We first thought of just changing to a lighter counter top. It just seems so dark. But I LOVE white cabinets, so we thought of leaving the kitchen island dark, and doing the rest white. Thanks

Re: Refacing Cabinets....
I refinished all of my cabinets myself and they came out awesome. It's a big time investment but it saved us so much money. I stripped them all (they were painted), sanded, treated with a pre-stain, and then stained them a dark color. They looked like brand new cabinets, almost 3 years later and they still look perfect.

I painted my whole kitchen as well. I used the rust-o-leam cabinet transformations kit in white. I got it on Amazon and I love the way it came out. Might be worth trying it out, and if you don't like it then get them refaced. If you have a large kitchen, you probably would need 2 kits, but it would be much less expensive than refacing!
