We were there in August and loved it!
It’s about 1 hour from the airport. We did private transfers through Canada Transfers so we went straight to the resort.
If you enjoy swimming in the ocean you will love it. You can snorkel all day long and see turtles, stingrays and all sorts of fish. We weren’t in the pools much because the ocean water was so calm and it was so much fun snorkeling.
The beach gets a little crowded because there is public access next to the resort and there were snorkeling tours when we went which I think they have stopped allowing to preserve the coral and protect the sea turtles etc. It didn’t bother us but there are a lot more people around than at other resorts we have been to.
If you go definitely get an underwater camera – so worth it.
Have you been to other Secrets resorts? I’ve been to quite a few of them and this is one of my favorites.
