we have a guy finishing our upstairs and he suggested we buy plain box dressers for him to slide into the wall to save space. Where would you buy those?

maybe try Gothic furniture or any other unfinished furniture place so that you can paint/stain the color you want.

don't laugh but IKEA. Look on pinterest, a lot of people "hack" them to make them look like custom builtins.

thanks! i was looking at dressers on ikea, and I originally was thinking of buying the malm wide dressers because they don't have feet and would be able to slide in pretty easily... but I didn't realize they had unfinished ones. This is great.

im currently looking at angled cubbies for both sides, and then maybe a rod for the middle. not sure. so confusing! but let me know what you decide!

the biggest reason I don't like getting standard dressers is that you will lose a bunch of potential/storage space in that triangle-shaped corner

I don't have pics but my dad did this in our house in my brothers' bedroom. He cut the legs off an old dresser and put wheels on the bottom so it slid out easily so we could store stuff behind it.

ETA- I forgot to say that I'd try a Salvation Army or Habitat ReStore to see if they have dressers that would fit.
