Re: Moms of girls 6 and older
She does not have any kind of boobs yet. I just wasn't sure what's appropriate and what's not. I talk to my mom before and she of course said that my DD should wear something underneath all the time My decision is with summer coming she doesn't have to wear anything as long as the shirt is not see through any kid and it big in the armpit area.

My girls are 6 & 8. Both are very slim so at their insistence almost every t-shirt they wear is loose and they usually wear tanks under them. Like my oldest daughter is a nut about it. They recently got a few sports bras which they will wear too under clothes. I have no problem with it. If they feel good in it great.
since you do allow your kids to wear sports bras under there clothes (and no judgment here I don't find it a big deal at all my question was more do I have to, is it expected, is it appropriate not to have one on etc)
would you let them wear this. This is what I meant by a training bra I realized some training bras actually look like bras this one to me looks more like a sports bra than anything else. This is just a curiosity question.
I wouldnt think it would be inappropriate to let her wear especially as you described at her acrobat classes. I also wouldn't think inappropriate if she wasn't wearing but she might be more comfotable to be covered. The ones my girls have are more sport like from old navy and justice.

Under dresses, dd wears bike shorts, but no tank top or bra. For dance she wears a leotard with a skirt. I would do a fitted tank with shorts for cheer, but not a bra let or even a half shirt at 7. I don't think that is age appropriate unless a child had boobs or something that would require them to need that. All the girls wear leotards near me.

Re: Moms of girls 6 and older
My DD is 8.5 and the ONLY time I'll put anything under her shirt is if it's a little big and and you can see into it through the arms or if the top is a little too loose fitting. In that case, I'll throw on one of her little cami tanks from Children's Place.
At this age, I wouldn't even think to get her any kind of sports bra or training bra, she's too young for that and I don't think it's necessary. 98% of the time, she wears her shirts with nothing underneath.

Re: Moms of girls 6 and older
My daughter is 4 1/2 and I've never put anything under her shirts. I used to put those tank top onesies under her clothes but that stopped at like 18-months.
Undershirts seem so unneccessary to me, I don't even use them in the winter. My mom and my sister used to give me crap for it but to each their own.

I put Cami undershirts on my daughter when the weather is cold, I like her to be in layers just like I am in the winter. But when it's warm out I don't put anything on underneath her t shirts or tanks.

It's funny becasue there is a thread on the Fashion board about what you wear under your flouncy summer skirts and dresses in case the wind blows it up. And my answer to that was also, ummm, nothing.
Maybe I have an issue....
ETA- but we all wear underwear. I swear. Except that time that DD annoucned to me in a quiet restaurant that she forgot to wear panties when getting dressed to go there.
