Costco Membership
SO I think I am ready to buy one.
What do I need to know?
Do I buy the regular one or the executive one?
Is it worth the $60 annual fee?
What are my MUST buys?
I am hoping to stock up on organic items and snacks for my kids.
Any other tips?
My Costco is an hour away so I plan on packing some ice packs to bring home some frozen items etc.
Thank you!

Costco Membership
Try it. If you don't like it, you can get your membership fee refunded. My first year, I did executive. They said if my bonus was less than the executive fee, I could get the rest of the fee back. I barely used it, got reimbursed for part of the fee and dropped down to regular membership. I probably should get executive now because I shop there more. We mostly buy paper stuff, crackers, snacks, eggs, milk. Honestly, I wouldn't drive an hour for what I buy. I would probably try amazon pantry for the paper stuff. But, see if it works for you and you can always get a refund on your membership.

Re: Costco Membership
Have you ever been to a Costco with a member to get an idea of what they offer? What size is your family?
We started out with a regular membership then upgraded years later because it made sense for us. Now we get a % back on our purchases. It works out for us because the membership practically pays for itself now. For us it's worth being a member for their meat and seafood selection alone, especially around the holidays. They have a great bakery section too. We always stock up on organic snacks, cereals, produce, eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese sticks, peanut butter, olive oil, paper products, detergent when it goes on sale. We love that place. We also have a BJs membership that we use for other things... they sell less bulk, take coupons, and I like their deli counter. Overall I prefer Costco though. They have better selection and friendlier customee service.
If you change your mind they will refund you the membership fee so there's no risk.

We have the Executive membership which gives you 2% back on your purchases. The check we get back pays for our membership.

Re: Costco Membership
I bought an executive one because we are planning to buy a car. If we do it through Costco we would get $700 back on the executive plan.
