Cabins within 4-5 hours driving distance
Hello. A group of families, usually around 20 people, always travel to Lake George in the Fall and we love it but are looking to change it up. Can anyone recommend a cabin type area for the fall where we can rent a few cabins together as a family for a long weekend? Thank you

Re: Cabins within 4-5 hours driving distance
About 2 yers ago I went to hike the falls at Watkins Glenn State Park. Great little town and I know they had plenty of cabins in the area. We went to dinner at Seneca Lodge and they had cabins on the grounds. We stayed at a small motel. They also had some cabins on the grounds. But we stayed in the motel rooms.
This is where we stayed Lakeside Resort
Nothing fancy. But cute and comfortable.

We go with a few families down in Cape May to Ponderosa Campground. It's fun and close to the beaches, Wildwood, Cape May Zoo and we have fun there on property. They have a heated outdoor pool and some other stuff along with AC, bathrooms and TV in the cabins.
It's perfect for a couple of days.
