Christmas trees???
It is May, right? Last week I was walking my dog and saw that a neighbor had put their Christmas tree out by the curb for the garbage collection (it was definitely a Christmas tree - there was a decoration that got left on it). Hey, I guess it happens lol. BUT, same thing today, at another house! So, when is the latest you've gotten rid of (or taken down your tree)?

Re: Christmas trees???
OMG no way. And I thought i was a slacker! Maybe they had it down earlier and just put it in their yard and never got to take it out to the curb and now that it's finally warm they were out doing yard work and were like- oh shit, Christmas tree?
LOL

Re: Christmas trees???
My neighbor is into bird watching and props theirs up in the yard to attract the birds and then they throw it out in the spring , not my thing but I have no reason for it to bother me .

Re: Christmas trees???
I'm one of those weird birders, sorry! I hope this solve the mystery: Every year, we take down our tree and put it in the vegetable garden. Bird feeders, peanut butter and birdseed, suet- everything goes onto the tree. When we prep our soil for planting, we throw it out (in May) DH chops it up and puts the pieces in a contractor bag or two.

That makes a whole lot of sense. Thanks! Just never saw that before. Mystery solved

This makes it make more sense! Definitely didn't bother me. I thought it was pretty funny - but now I see that there's a real reason for it
