New driveway _ cheapest options?
Right now I have a concrete driveway and walkways. It’s old and looks terrible, lots of cracks with weeds coming up.
I would like to do something to make it look decent before putting it on the market next year. Is it possible to have concrete repaired? I would like to have it look decent but I am not looking to spend $10k if we are selling the house. Any thoughts on what to do? Is it it cheap to pour a new concrete or blacktop driveway? Or can they do a layer of blacktop over the bad concrete?

we did a paver walkway and went over our steps with the same pavers to match. The walkway leads to our driveway, and we had it bordered with the same pavers. Then we did blacktop in the middle. The pavers are a gray mix so it looks nice with the black driveway. I found this to be about the same price as all concrete with NO pavers
ETA: No they don't pour blacktop over a concrete driveway. They would rip the driveway out and then pour concrete. I will FM you the guy that did my work. It was about $6500

Its probably going to cost you a few grand to re-do the concrete (we re-did ours a few years ago- blacktop would have been more for us since they would have to lay down the stones on the sides). I guess you just have to see if its worth it by investing $ in it if you are going to make that back when you sell.

Unfortunately I don’t think we have much of a choice. Our brick steps and concrete walkways are all in disrepair. At this point I am just considering doing all asphalt, including the walkways, Andy repair the front steps and call it a day. No fancy borders or anything
