Which edge to you have on your quartz/granite countertops?

I didn't realize there were so many choices and to be honest, I'm over it. Chat Icon
Way too many decisions.

What edge did you get?

I think it depends on the look you’re going for

Ex our one bathroom Is a little modern, so we have a straight edge for the bathroom

Our kitchen is more traditional so on the granite we have a beveled edge

The simplest form of bevel- some of them get really swirly

Our master bathroom is modern and has a nearly straight edge. The top and bottom are just off by 1/8 inch. It is maybe 2 or 3 cm so it looks completely straight. Our kitchen has a two tiered thing going on. I did not do it, but I remember picking edging for our bathroom and it was not a basic option from the eight you could pick from.

We went with a half bullnose in our kitchen when we changed the granite. It used to be ogee before we renovated the kitchen.

we did a rounded edge on our island area, and then the rest is just a straight edge because it goes straight across to the wall

It's crazy how many there are and how each place calls them by different names. So if you go online and find what you like, you have to match it by looking carefully.

We have something like this. Super simple

Yes i have been googling. Because those little pictures like you posted don't help me. I can't visualize anything. I need to see it in real life.
It's maddening

Pinterest has real life pictures. That’s what I used when I was trying to figure out what I wanted.

What is your home style? What will your kitchen look like when it’s done?
You can start there.
Contemporary ? - straight or what I have will work
Traditional? - you may want a rounded or multi bevel look

Google the type of kitchen you have, your style choice and then see what pops up

“Modern kitchen countertop finish”
“Traditional kitchen quartz edge”

You’ll figure it out. If you go to the place you’re getting you stone, they will / should have chunks of stone with the edges on them .. that helps too

I believe I went with quarter round...didn't want to worry about anyone bumping into sharp edges and breaking it or hurting themselves. Also, imo, when they're super fancy, and have those crevices, it's more difficult to clean.
