Those that have done or do winter cruises... do you fly down the day before in case of bad weather... 2 days before or?

TIA!

we're about to do a summer cruise, and we're still flying in ahead. you just never know, so we always leave some extra time. we cruised one time in january out of florida and we ended up renting a car and driving home, because there was a big snow storm at home while we were on the cruise, and the flights were so backed up, that driving got us home faster than the next flight would've!

I would always fly in the day before a cruise, any time of year. It's worth the one night in a hotel to do so IMO

We drove to Baltimore for our last cruise and still went the day before, lol

You should always fly in the day before regardless of the season.
Flights get cancelled and delayed even in the best weather.

I've done both - flown in the day of and flown in a day ahead of time, but if you can do it, I would always recommend going a day ahead of time. (And get travel insurance that includes trip delay/cancellation because of weather)

I've flown in the day of a cruise, but only during the summer. For winter I would 100% fly in the day before.
