No property tax relief check?
Has anyone here not gotten their property tax relief check yet? We usually get it every year and my mother (who lives in the same school district as us) got hers a few weeks ago. I went to the site to try and look it up but all is says is “no check issued”. We should get it since we make below the income limit and our school district complied with the tax cap. Wondering if anyone else hasn’t gotten it yet as well and maybe they’re still in the process of cutting checks.

I haven't gotten mine yet either--I looked up last yr and that check was issued about 2 weeks after i had gotten my star check. I haven't gotten my star check either--it is saying they will start start mailing star checks starting this month. I am in the town of Islip

If your mom lives in the same school district and she got hers, then yours should have been issued. Can you find a number to call?

i have not received mine yet
My mom received hers and I have a friend who lives in the same district that did not get her yet.
Just because you are in the same district does not mean you will get it at the same time.
Some people is the same district got the check a couple weeks before my mom did and its been at least a week if not more since mom has gotten it and my friend hasn't yet.

I did call a number I found on the NYS tax website and they said basically to be patient as they are still issuing checks, so we will see....

I haven’t gotten mine but I also can’t look it up because I don’t know my tax payment for 2017. I also haven’t gotten my star

Yes I had to go into our files to look it up.
I don't think I get a Star check since it's automatically deducted from our tax bill I believe.

we don't get this check because our village pierces the cap, but our school district doesn't. so people who live in the same district as me, but outside of the village boundaries get the check but we don't. could that be your situation?

Nope, we have gotten it in years past, and I looked it up and our SD complied with the cap, so we should be getting one... just taking a long time I suppose.
